Etcera was founded on a profound and yet simple belief: machine intelligence should serve human intentions. We call this the ETC era — a turning point where technology is no longer about faster tools alone, but about expanding what people can become. Our story begins with a vision of the future, a mission to make it real, and a Just Cause that acts as a compass we share openly.
Vision
We are living through the ETC era — not “and so on” as an afterthought, but as an open-ended future of possibility.
We imagine a future where intelligence is a collaborative force that empowers individuals, teams, and communities — expanding human potential and preserving dignity.
Mission
Our mission is to ensure intelligence always extends human agency in everyday life and work.
We commit to building intelligence that thinks with people, protects agency, distributes opportunity, and sustains prosperity.
Our Just Cause
Our vision and mission are guided by a deeper compass: Towards True Prosperity For All. It declares our north star — prosperity defined as dignity, agency, and flourishing for all — and sets the principles by which we and others can choose to build.
This Just Cause is not ours alone. It is an open invitation for companies, communities, and policymakers who believe that intelligence must empower, distribute, and sustain human potential.
What We’re Building
At the heart of Etcera is Attached Intelligence — our solution to AI alignment and human agency. You can learn more about how we design Attached Intelligence in our technical white paper, Intention Is All It Takes.
We’re bringing this to life through two applications:
Etcera Space — your personal environment for mindful productivity and growth. Capture thoughts, shape intentions, organize actions, and reflect — all in one place that adapts as you do.
Etcera Gather — an extension of Space for teams and communities. Align around shared intentions, coordinate work with distributed agency, and measure progress without losing sight of purpose.
Recognized on the Global Stage
In July 2025, our use case Future of Work with Attached Intelligence was selected as one of 37 winners at the UN AI for Good Global Summit across 32 countries. The demonstration of Etcera Space highlighted how attached intelligence can protect agency and foster meaningful productivity in the workplace.
The video below features our presentation at the Summit, offering a closer look at how we shared this vision on the global stage.
